The Resident and Fellow Section was formed to educate residents and fellows about the California Radiological Society and the American College of Radiology, and to encourage their membership and participation as board-certified radiologists. The RFS is interested in promoting concerns and issues that are important to residents and fellows during their training and as the future of radiology. Participation in the section will provide opportunities to meet with other residents and fellows throughout the state, as well as opportunity to interact with more senior members of the CRS. These interactions will provide opportunities to learn about various residency programs and practice environments. There will be ample opportunities for networking and exposure to potential job opportunities. The RFS is dedicated to promoting and educating the members about socioeconomic, political and financial issues facing the CRS and ACR, such as self-referral, medical liability reform and international teleradiology. There is discussion forum, which is one avenue where there can be free exchange of ideas and concerns about residency, future of radiology, or jobs. Please feel free to log on and share your thoughts and concerns.
